Decodify was created by Michelle Pranger, a veteran special education teacher and structured literacy specialist with nearly two decades of classroom experience. Her commitment to evidence-aligned instruction—and her ongoing work with the Connecticut Office of Dyslexia and Reading Disabilities Advisory Council- reflects the values at the heart of the Decodify approach.

What began in 2021 as a classroom tool designed to rebuild skills and confidence quickly grew into a comprehensive, structured literacy system. Inspired by student progress and the need for clear, consistent practice across MTSS tiers 1–3. Decodify is a 12-level supplemental literacy toolkit which was developed to meet the needs of learners who continue to struggle with decoding and morphology in upper elementary, middle, and high school.
